Cheap plow for a '94 Chevy?
I'm thinking of putting a 7'6" plow on my 1998 Chevy 1500 half ton 4x4
standard cab pick up with a V-6. A new Boss Plow here is like $4k
installed. I can't really drop that right now. Can anyone recommend where I might find a good used plow (slightly on the commercial grade side) right away? The truck supply companies have plows but no mounting brackets (all sold out in this region I'm told). I'm hoping to cash in on any remaining snows we may get here, not just for my personal driveway use. Yeah, I know the truck is kinda sissy for commercial plowing, but it's what I have for now.

Here in CA. we drag the snow onto the beach in our orange bathing suits. Ha! Actually, most Northern Sierra highways are closed due to blizzard conditions. We are running on generator backup and eating out of the freezer as I write.
Check dealers in your area for used plows as i don't know of a good internet-based "clearing house" Maybe this site could start something like that... With used plows you run what you find. Try to get one off the same make and year truck. I might suggest withholding a portion of the payment until you know you have ALL the parts.
The free papers in 7-11 or AM-PMs might be a good place to look.
