I've been trying to research this, but I wanted to check here as well:

Does anyone know if there is a standard punch pattern on highway-type plows?

Hello Gary, The AASHO's standard highway punch pattern is a 3- 3- 12 etc. 12 -3-3. The first hole is 3 inches in from the edge of the blade and the next hole is 3 inches from that first hole. The remaining holes are 12 inches apart from the second hole and the blade finishes up at 3 -3 on the other edge. This pattern can be top punched on 1 5/8" gauge line or it can be center punched. Yes there are many hole punching variations today but the true standard will always be the 3-3-12 etc. 12-3-3 punch pattern across the USA. Calvin - Evoluntionedges
Thanks for the speedy reply Calvin!

Can I ask, how do you know this, do you work with municipal-type plows?
