North Lake Tahoe Bonanza Picture.
Photo By Brian T. Schultz in Bonanza paper

The above is a picture that was taken from the local paper, the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, January 12, 2005. This shows a home before the snow was moved at all. The snow was very deep and frozen solid. The drifts were grater than the height of the garage doors at seven feet. There was absolutely no access to the house in or out.
This is a regular occurance for houses in the area that are mostly vacant because they are second homes. This is a good reason to have a caretaker in the harsh winter months to help protect structural investments, such as second homes.

As a snow removal contractor, this is the kind of job you dream of, provided that you have the right tools. the sun was out an the machine was put to the test. The snow was twice the height of blower so it took a little bit more time to clear, but not much. It only took about 5 minutes to clear this 60' x 25' driveway with a 7' deepth at least. That's a lot snow.

TRECAN MELTER NEW  NEWS

Trecan Metromelter need we say more?

Got Mega amounts of snow? That's not a problem! This is one of Toronto Canada fleet of Metromelters. Yes that's right, fleet, they have five. These will do 150 TPH, but can be made to do as much as 350 TPH. Impressive.
In other news Trecan has just overhauled their website and it is very asthetically pleasing. There are featurettes in their product showacase. Trecan is not just about melting snow. If you want to vaporize, incinerate, burn, heat or melt, Trean is the company for you. Oh, also if you need to generate too, Trecan is your contact. There is also many sizes available. They're small units, many portable in size and some that are full on buildings, that are ofcourse stationary.  If you happen to be in the neighborhood, you can get a plant tour. I bet that is facinating.

TRECAN POST NEWS

Units from 60 to 500 tons per hour are available.

Loftness Skid steer blower unit.

This is one of Loftness' (not Lochness) many applicable snowblower attachments for skid steers. Just think if you were cruising along in four feet of snow, activley snowing, in your closed cab on your brand new skid steer, running the heat, and cutting your path where ever you are. Wouldn't that be nice?
